If for whatever reason you no longer need your Yahoo email account and would like to delete it follow these simple steps:
1. go to the following url https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user
2. enter your Yahoo username and password
3. On the next screen re-enter your password and enter the captcha
4. select the button that says “Terminate this Account”
According to Yahoo for security reasons it takes 3 months for your account to be fully deleted.
